Acclaimed ASP Actor Doug Lockwood will come to your home for an evening and perform his well-loved version of Wallace Shawn’s “The Fever” for you and your guests. “The Fever” is a compelling monologue in which Shawn’s nameless narrator tells us of his recent trip, which rather than being a holiday jaunt leads him to examine his preconceptions and beliefs about what matters in the world. With compassion, eloquence, and ruthless self-scrutiny, the playwright discovers that having good intentions toward the dispossessed is not enough.
Dessert and coffee will be provided by Beaujolais Catering.
"The Fever is a work that asks, in a highly original way: is it possible, or even right, for a sensitive person to be happy in today's world?" - New York Times
