This is a limited edition 15-color lithograph based on a painting by Maurice de Vlaminck (French, 1876-1958), a member of the Fauvist movement founded by André Derain and Henri Matisse, c. 1905. Shortly before his death, Vlaminck went to Atleier Mourlot in Paris and worked with Master Printer Charles Sorlier (Chagall's normal collaborator) to prepare editions of lithographs of the paintings by which he wanted to be remembered.
Edition: 2000 impressions executed in collaboration with Charles Sorlier at the Atleier Mourlotin Paris.
