Christopher V. Edwards

Christopher V. Edwards is a director, actor, fight choreographer, educator and consultant. He is currently the Artistic Director of Actors’ Shakespeare Project in Boston. Prior to ASP he was the Artistic Director of Nevada Conservatory Theatre in Las Vegas and the Associate Artistic Director, Director of Education and Apprentice Training with The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in New York. Chris was the founding Artistic Director for Point of Entry Theatre in NYC.

Chris has worked as a director and/or actor in London’s West End, Off-Broadway, The National Theatre of Oslo in Norway, John Houseman’s The Acting Company in NYC, HERE Arts Center, Dorset Theatre Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, The Helix in Ireland, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Ubu Rep., The Flea Theater, Cleveland Playhouse, The NY Hip-Hop Theatre Festival, Utah Shakespeare Festival, SOHO Rep, Penumbra Theater, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, PA Shakes, Shakespeare and Company and Guthrie Theatre to name a few.

Chris is a Sr. Lecturer at Boston University School of Theatre and has taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Montclair State in New Jersey, and Bennington College in VT.  He teaches masterclasses and workshops throughout the country and abroad.

Chris is a distinguished artist and consultant with The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and a consultant with the Madison Park Development Corporation in Boston.  He received his MFA from the University of Minnesota in Association with the Guthrie Theatre and is member of the National Arts Strategy, Chief Executive Program 2019-2020 cohort through the Harvard Business School.  Chris lives in Jamaica Plain with his wife and daughter, Jennifer Rohn and Anya Edwards.
