Gabriel Kuttner Honored at 2020 Elliot Norton Awards

Gabriel Kuttner was a beloved father, stepfather, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, a luminous actor and a remarkable educator, director and producer. He worked with Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Lyric Stage, New Rep, Stoneham Theatre, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Israeli Stage, Publick​ ​Theatre, WHAT, Harbor Stage, Gloucester Stage and others. Gabriel was born in Brookline and attended The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He performed across the US and Europe. He was a founding member of Orfeo Group, whose work was thrice recognized by the Elliot Norton committee. As an actor, he received two IRNE awards (Solo Performance and Best Supporting Actor). Gabriel served on the faculty of Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Salem State University and Northeastern University, where he taught acting, public speaking, dialect and producing. He was also a long time teaching artist for Actors’ Shakespeare Project in their DYS programs and directed the youth production of Titus Andronicus. Gabriel lived in Amherst, MA with his wife, Lori Taylor, and their two children, Alex and Lula.
