The Tempest
Directed by Maurice Emmanuel Parent
For our ninth annual Summer Youth Intensive, ASP youth will create, design, rehearse, and perform Shakespeare’s brilliant romance The Tempest. Over four weeks, the youth ensemble work daily with Shakespeare’s language, voice, movement, and stage combat, guided by ASP company members and experienced teaching artists. Public performances are the culmination of a month-long intensive collaboration among teens from a variety of Boston-area communities.
Ages 13-19 welcome. Along with actors, youth stage managers, designers, and technical crew are welcome to apply.

Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm
Tech Saturday, July 20, 10 am – 8 pm
Public performances July 24 – 27, 7:30 pm (as well as a 2 pm matinee on 7/27)
Strike Sunday, July 28, 11 am – 6 pm
Tuition: $1,500, scholarships available
