Rare Tiffany windows in Hamlet venue

Did you know that our Hamlet venue, the Church of the Covenant in Boston’s Back Bay, has a rare collection of Tiffany windows? “During the 1890s, the Neo-Gothic sanctuary of dark walnut wood and pseudo-medieval stained glass was completely redecorated  by Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company …” More about the Tiffany windows

Notes ASP’s Artistic Director Allyn Burrows, “We are so very honored to perform this iconic piece in a setting fitting to its import. The sheer beauty of the stained glass is worthy of Shakespeare’s words.”  There is even a very special overlap between one of the windows and a line in Hamlet, as if we were meant to perform this play there!

Here are some examples, photographed by an ASP staff member. If you have not yet seen them in person, get a glimpse before our performances with a free tour!
