In residence at the Forest of Arden Youth Studio at Charlestown Working Theater, ASP offers year-round opportunities for young people of all backgrounds to perform, create, and form community with each other. Propose projects, develop artistic and leadership skills, and just have fun!

The Julius Caesar Project

A piece of original theater taking Shakespeare’s political tragedy Julius Caesar as the launching point, with youth interacting along the way with the artists working on our all-female professional production. Artists from all disciplines welcome!

Shipwrecked in Illyria, Viola disguises herself as a man to ward off danger, fearing her twin brother dead. One of Shakespeare’s most memorable heroines navigates through misplaced passions, troublemaking knights, and an unruly household, on the way to discovering love.
