The Real (Merry) Housewives of Windsor

For our tenth annual Summer Youth Intensive, ASP youth will create, design, rehearse, and perform Shakespeare’s rollicking comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor, with social distancing embraced at the heart of the process!

Over four weeks, the youth ensemble will create ways to tell a story using multimedia and internet platforms, guided by ASP company members and experienced teaching artists.  In addition to working daily with Shakespeare’s language and characters, youth will explore theatrical skills in the context of internet collaboration, to express their creativity through constraints and to equip themselves for the demands of the present moment and near future.  Public online performances will be the culmination of a month-long intensive collaboration among teens from a variety of Boston-area communities.

Ages 13-19 welcome. Along with actors, youth stage managers, designers, and technical crew are welcome to apply.
